Irrelevant back links are useful?

is irrelevant back link useful? I want to know according to the Google.

They can help with the number of back links to your site , but too many can be bad. (IMO).

There is no disadvantage unless and until it came from the bad environment. But if this one is coming from normal niche than its ok.

But instead of building 100 backlinks from the irrelevant niche just build only 10 from the relevant and quality websites. These 10 will help more than 100.

Irrelevant back link? Umm... maybe, in terms of QUANTITY but in terms of QUALITY... I don't think so.

Irrelevant back links is useless because it create more disadvantage it gives you negative marking in Google and search engine take bad impression from your site by bad neighborhood linking. You will try to get link only relevant sites and same niche, it gives you more and more back link in Google.

Irrelevant links may bring traffic to your site but they will not boost your search engine rankings at all. If they are on a high traffic site go for it. if you think the site will not bring in any traffic then do do it.

They are still counted as backlinks but they provide less benefit for your site in terms of increasing your rankings in search engine result page.
