Default Bounce Rate: How much is considered bad

As we know the lower the bounce rate better the website health will be, but how much bounce rate (e.g. >50%, or >60% etc) is considered bad and really demands attention?

What was the lowest figure ever you get?

the cause of bounce rate is where you create inbound links which are not relevant to your niche

Well if its above 70 it is considered bad.. This shows that your site is not at all attractive and people usually goes out without seeing your sites content.

I don't think that a high bounce rate is necessarily bad - it depends very much on the circumstances.

Sometimes great pages will have a high bounce rate. As an example, you might be attracting visitors to the right page on your site, where they can quickly see your products. They may, however, find that your prices are too high and immediately decide to look elsewhere.

You'll have a high bounce rate as a result, but it's pricing/competitors that are responsible, rather than your website design. You could, in fact, reduce that bounce rate by giving visitors a worse experience, but you'd still generate the same number of sales.

I have seen this information hope it helpful

As long as you have optimized the site well it doesn't really matter what industry you are in. To clarify, there is nothing that says if you are financial services your bounce rate should be between 30%-40%. A well optimized site will be getting a majority of visitors that are actually looking for the information or services you have to offer up and therefore have a lower bounce rate. That being said your quick search is pretty spot on, anything 50% or above is not good. Either you are having people sent to the wrong landing page or the content on the page is not organized well enough to convey your message effectively. 30% to 40% is not bad but definitely not ideal. Optimization is not a quick and easy process but it sounds like you are taking some steps in the right direction. Hope this of some use to you. Good Luck!

As I said above, bounce rates can be incredibly misleading and too many people place far too much emphasis on them instead of concentrating on business fundamentals.
